AnnMarie's Law, enacted in 2015, was created to provide suicide awareness and prevention to Illinois school students and school staff. As noted by the Illinois State Board of Education, suicide is the second-leading cause of death for youth between the ages of 10 and 24.

The Lifeline provides 24/7 free and confidential support for people in distress, prevention and crisis resources for you or your loved ones, and best practices for professionals.
Safe2Help Illinois helpline can be contacted via phone, text, web or email.
The Safe2Help program is a confidential help line. Reporters will be encouraged to provide their name and contact information, but it isn’t a requirement. Information received by Safe2Help is exempt from the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) reporting rules and can only be accessed under limited conditions by a court order.
