Character Ed Theme – Honesty
Attention All Students….
· Attention 3rd – 8th Grade Students… See if you can spot a Soc. or a Greaser today in the Junior High Hallway! 7th graders recently finished reading the novel The Outsiders, by S.E. Hinton. Hinton reminds us all of the dangers of judging others. We’re all in the together! Let’s respect and embrace each other’s differences! Stay Gold
· Attention 5th – 7th Grade Students… If you are interested in trying out for baseball in the Fall, there is a meeting next Friday, May 17th in Mr. Beatty’s room at 8:00 a.m.
· Attention All Students…. Yearbooks will be handed out by your homeroom teacher today. A limited supply of extra yearbooks will be on sale in both offices starting next Monday, May 13th for $25. Thank you. Mrs. Weaver
· Attention 6th/7th/8th Grade Students… The Final Fiesta Dance is tonight from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. for the 6th and 7th grade students and from 7:00 – 10 p.m. for the 8th grade students. The cost is $5.00 and you will have to have a signed permission to slip to attend. There will also be a Photo Booth!!

· Attention 6th/7th/8th Grade Students…Get your teams together for the School Carnival Volleyball Tournament. A team consist of 6 players and can be a mix of grades and gender if you want. Basic volleyball rules apply, First team to 15 wins, rally scoring, championship game will be against the teachers, line judges have final call, must be at the sand court at game time or forfeit. Get your team form outside Ms. Glaeser's room. Completed forms must be in by Wednesday, the 15th. A schedule will be posted on Thursday.
· Attention 5th-7th Grade Students…. Student Council Applications for the 2019-2020 school year, anyone wanting to run for the student council should pick one up from their homeroom teacher or Mrs. Wilson. The completed packet is due NO LATER than May 14th. If you turn in an incomplete packet, it will NOT count! Please see Mrs. Wilson for any questions.
· Attention All Students…. The Spring Carnival is next Friday, May 17th, from 1:30 – 5:00 p.m. in the park area behind MCS. Deadline for armband presale orders is next Wednesday, May 15th by 3:00 p.m. in the Principal’s office or the Assistant Principal’s office. Presale armbands cost $12. If paying by check, please make it payable to MCCS PTA. Armbands will be distributed on May 17th at the Carnival. Please go to the Main Check in Table/Booth. ***All Students in Pre-K through 8th Grade need to have a signed permission slip in order to attend the carnival. Please return the permission slips to school NO later than Thursday, May 16th.
