Character Ed Theme – Citizenship
Attention All Students….
Ø Attention Vocal Motion Sopranos & 1st Altos…. We will rehearse today at 12:35 p.m.
Ø Attention Student Council Members… Workers are needed for tonight’s girl’s home basketball game, please see Mrs. Wilson if you can help. There is a brief meeting tomorrow morning at 7:45 a.m.
Attention 3rd-8th Grade Students…. Student Council is sponsoring a Spirit Week next week,
Nov. 18th – 22nd. Classes will be competing for the “Most Spirited Award”! Each class will compete for the highest percentage of students participating each day. A tracking sheet will be provided to each homeroom teacher at the beginning of the week and it will be collected on the last day, Friday, 22nd. There will be one winner in grades 3rd – 5th grade and one winner in 6th – 8th grade. The winning class will earn a pizza party and the “Most Spirited Trophy”.
Monday, Nov. 18th: Hawaiian Day
Tuesday, Nov. 19th: Opposite Day/Inside Out Day
Wednesday, Nov. 20th: Western Day
Thursday, Nov. 21st: Decade Day (3rd-5th grade, choose between 50’s and 60’s),
(6th – 8th grade, choose 70’s, 80’s, & 90’s),
Friday, Nov. 22nd: School Spirit Day (Maroon/White)
Ø Attention All Students… Yearbook sales are going on now. Please order online at ybpay.lifetouch.com with code 1667320 for a discounted price! Paper orders can be turned into your child's homeroom teacher. Deadline is next Monday, November 18th.
Ø Attention 4th – 8th Grade Students…. Wrestling Practice is today through Friday, from 3:30-5:00 p.m. in the Multi-Purpose room. NO experience required, we will teach you.
Ø Attention 8th Grade Students…. 8th Grade baby pictures should be turned into Mrs. Weaver by Tuesday, November 26th. Baby pictures need to be 4x6 or smaller and an original print on photo paper. Please place your baby picture in an envelope marked with your first and last name. All photos correctly labeled will be returned to the students.
Ø Attention Students… PTA is Sponsoring the Reflections program this year. The Theme is Look Within. This is a wonderful opportunity to showcase your talents and possibly win some awards. The categories are Dance, Literature, Music Competition, Photography, and Visual Arts. All entries are due by Tuesday, Nov. 19th. Please ask your teacher for a packet. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Wilson.
Attention All Students… Family Reading Night is next Wednesday, November 20th at MCS from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. We will have a Student Book Swap, Walk the Plank, read a recipe/make a snack, Yo Ho Ho Photo Booth, Pirate Pajama Party Room, Poetry Coffee House, Storytelling room, Reading under the Stars, Escape rooms and Blacklight Sight Word Treasure Hunt for Kindergarteners and 1st graders. Looking forward to seeing everyone!!
