Character Ed Theme – Respect

Attention All Students….

·         Attention Vocal Motion Baritones…. We will rehearse today at lunch! 

·         Attention Beta Club Members…. there are a lot of our opportunities on the board.  Please sign-up. 

·         Attention 6th, 7th, 8th Grade Members…. Math Matters Tutoring today from 3:30 – 4:30 in room 204. 

·         Attention 6th,7th, 8th Grade Students…. Cheer tryouts tonight at 5:30 p.m. 

·         Attention 3rd – 8th Grade Students…. Spirit Week is next week, October 15th – 19th!  Go Panthers!!!!

v  Students will be participating per grade level for the “Most Spirited”!!  Each grade level will compete for the highest percentage of students participating each day.  A tracking sheet will be provided to each homeroom teacher each day and collected by 9:30 a.m.  One grade level will win each day and collected by 9:30 a.m. One grade level will win each day and add points to their spirit score.  The grade with the highest spirit score will win the title. 

v  Students will also be competing in a poster decorating contest.  Students are invited to participate as individuals or as a group.  Students are asked to create a poster that displays school spirit.  Each poster created will add points to the student’s grade level. This will contribute to the overall winner of the “Most Spirited.”   All posters must be turned into the table outside the gym by Wednesday, October 17th at 9:00 a.m.  Prior to Weds, you may turn posters into Mrs. Wilson in room 207.  All posters must be made with supplies from home.  No school materials will be used.  The grade level winner of the “Most Spirited” will be announced on Friday at our assembly and will win a “Most Spirited Trophy” as well as free admission to the basketball game Friday night and free popcorn for the concession stand!

Themes are as follows: 

Mon, Oct. 15th:  Rockstar/Crazy Hair Day, Tues, Oct. 16th:  Twin Day – Dress like a friend

Weds, Oct 17th:  Meme/Character Day, Thurs, Oct. 18th:  Sports Jersey or Sports Shirt Day

Friday, Oct. 19th:  School Spirit Day(Maroon/White)

The Assembly will be @ 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 19th

·         Attention 7th/8th Grade Boys… Basketball Tryouts are today from 5:30-7:15 p.m. in the gym.    You must have an updated physical within 13 months.  Grade checks will also be done. 

·         Attention 8th Grade Students… Please turn in your baby picture for the yearbook by Tuesday, November 20th.  Your picture needs to be an original copy and 4x6 size or smaller.  Please place your picture in an envelope marked with your first and last name, and place it in the box outside of my classroom or send it to the office.  All pictures will be returned.  Mrs. Weaver

·         Attention All Students… Yearbooks will go on sale starting Monday, November 5th through Tuesday, November 20th.  You will have the option to purchase your yearbook online for a reduced price.  Watch for more information.  Mrs. Weaver

·         Attention Yearbook Staff… The next meeting will be this Friday, October 12th at 7:45.  Please come prepared to sign up to take pictures at events.  Also, write down ideas for the 8th grade class quote and bring them with you.  Mrs. Weaver

 

·         Attention All Students…. Trunk or Treat is on Friday, October 19th, from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.  at Tuffy Mueth Parking Lot!   Join friends and neighbors as kids parade around decorated trunks, trucks, tents and golf carts to collet treats, candy and other goodies!  Ribbons will be given for best costume and decorated trunk, tent, cart or truck!  Donation to the Millstadt Community Food Pantry will be collected as well.  Bring some canned goods or hygiene items and place them in the Food Pantry Truck!
