Character Ed Theme – Respect

Ø  The Yearbook Club is hosting a yearbook sales competition. The homeroom with the highest percentage of sales by October 15th wins a pizza party. If there is a tie, then the pizza party will go to the class that has the highest percentage of add-ons such as personalization.

Ø  Teachers and Students: Student Council is sponsoring A Sock it To Cancer Fundraiser this year. All proceeds will go to The Kellsie's Hope Foundation to support finding a cure for childhood cancers. This is a local charity, so we are very excited to be a part of it. Each teacher will be handing out a yellow sock with a pink slip. Once you have your yellow sock, take it home, decorate it, and fill it with loose change and any dollars you can spare. Bring it back to school filled with your donation by FRIDAY, September 13th. Volunteers from the organization will count our donations and reward the class with the highest donations collected at each school with a pizza party!!!  If you participate in the decorating contest, make sure your name is on a piece of paper inside the sock with your homeroom teacher's name. Let's try to beat last year's amazing collection of $7, 289.00 for this amazing cause. SOCK IT TO CHILDHOOD CANCER.

Ø  Sign-ups for wrestling, basketball, and cheerleading tryouts are in the gym!

Ø  Ms. Laura, one of our school secretaries, is having a big birthday today!  Please wish her a happy birthday if you see her!

Ø  Girls on the Run (GOTR)  Practice starts September 19th

Ø  CHORUS NEWS: Taylor Swift, Harry Styles, Billie Eilish, they all started somewhere!!! Join chorus!  See Mrs Snyder in the library for more information

Ø  Congratulations to baseball and softball on their victories over Waterloo!
