Character Ed Theme – Responsibility
The Patriot’s Pen All entries must be submitted to Kristin Scharf or Mick Cohagan at VFW Post 7980 by midnight Oct. 31. See the office for more information.
First priority is collecting donations to give gifts to kids in need throughout the world who would otherwise have no gifts on Christmas. 3rd and 4th graders' homerooms are collecting school supplies. 5th and 6th graders are collecting personal care items. 7th and 8th graders are collecting toys/games and fun items. Please no liquids/aerosol cans. The class that brings the most items will win a donut party! Click Here to view the spreadsheet they created to help with what items should or should not be donated. Collections will take place November 12th-14th. I will add a reminder to our morning announcements the week before collections begin. Thank you!
Ghost Grams will be available to purchase Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday this week! For $1 buy your spookiest friends a ring pop and write them a ghostly message. Student Council will make the special deliveries on Halloween.
Students in 5th-8th grade interested in wrestling, the Wrestling team will have a meeting tomorrow, Tuesday October 28th at 2:30pm in the gym.
Some reminders about Halloween:
1. Costumes: no masks, no fake weapons or blood.
2. Parade: MPC students will be walking the path behind MCS. Please be outside standing near, but not on the path by 8:55 to cheer them as they walk by. Students do not crowd them or reach hands out for a high five as they walk by, that can be very intimidating to our younger kids.
