STUDENT ANNOUNCEMENTS

                                  Wednesday - September 30, 2026

Sports News:

• 6th, 7th, and 8th grade girls basketball tryouts will be October 5th (3:30-5:30, October 6th (3:30-5:30), and September 7th (2:30-4:30).  Students must have an updated physical within 13 months on file in the nurses office.  

•  Boys 7th and 8th grade basketball tryouts will be October 12-14, All participants must have an updated physical within the last 13 months. Oct 12, tryouts will be 10-noon, on the 13th 3:30-5:30, and finally on the 14th from 4:30-6:30.  Grade checks will also be done. .  

• 6th Grade Boys interested in Basketball, please see information in the gym hallway.

• Yesterday both the boys and girls cross country teams ran at Belleville West on a true and tough cross country cross. We had some really great running performances by the following who took the challenge head on and competed. In the girls varsity race Vivenne Rehling placed 5th, Veda Casey placed 7th, and Lulu Fanous placed 8th! In the boys varsity race Frank McGhee got 1st place, Cole Agne 7th place, and Braxton Szarek 10th place! In the open boys race Keegan Hauck placed 1st, Beckett Brunner 2nd, Zane Stern 3rd, and Cohen Hampton 8th! In the open girls race Ryann Rompel 3rd, Cate Branum 7th, and Avery Gettinger 8th! Everyone keeps getting better and better! Keep it going Panthers! 

Other News: 

• Next Den meeting will be on October 6th 8:10am sharp!

• We will need to patiently await for the Sock It To Cancer fundraiser.  That is a good thing as there are a lot of coins to count.  Whenever the results are ready, I will be sure to make the announcements

• Jennifer Mennerick, the Girls Tennis Coach at BWTH emailed and are offering a FREE middle school tennis clinic. The clinic will be at Belleville West on Sunday, October 4 from 6 - 7 pm.  Here is the link to sign up  https://forms.gle/V4GRKXev6ooyGi3r6
