 STUDENT ANNOUNCEMENTS

                                        Friday - October 2, 2026

Sports News:

• 6th, 7th, and 8th grade girls basketball tryouts will be October 5th (3:30-5:30, October 6th (3:30-5:30), and September 7th (2:30-4:30).  Students must have an updated physical within 13 months on file in the nurses office.  

•  Boys 7th and 8th grade basketball tryouts will be October 12-14, All participants must have an updated physical within the last 13 months. Oct 12, tryouts will be 10-noon, on the 13th 3:30-5:30, and finally on the 14th from 4:30-6:30.  Grade checks will also be done. .  

• 6th Grade Boys interested in Basketball, please see information in the gym hallway.

Extracurricular News:

• Next Den meeting will be on October 6th 8:10am sharp!

Other News: 

• We will need to patiently await for the Sock It To Cancer fundraiser.  That is a good thing as there are a lot of coins to count.  Whenever the results are ready, I will be sure to make the announcements

• Jennifer Mennerick, the Girls Tennis Coach at BWTH emailed and are offering a FREE middle school tennis clinic. The clinic will be at Belleville West on Sunday, October 4 from 6 - 7 pm.  Here is the link to sign up  https://forms.gle/V4GRKXev6ooyGi3r6 

• There will be a Scholar Bowl meeting on Friday, October 16th at 12:30 p.m. in Mrs. Obermeier’s room.  You MUST attend this meeting if you would like to be considered for a spot on the team. If you know you will not be at school that day and cannot attend, please let Mrs. Obermeier know in advance.

• At this time, I also want to mention the Beta Club.  This group is amazing at providing volunteering all around our community.  I know they are great about helping the Civic Club when needed, as well as helping the VFW out at their Friday Fish Fry.  All of this helps support our community and is very much appreciated.  Thanks Beta Club for not only serving, but doing it with a smile and enthusiasm!  Our community organizations are very grateful for you!
